Carnival In Brazil & Malaria Of The Mouth

Carnival in brazil, pictures of brazil, pictures of carnival, carnaval in braziil, carnival in salvador, pics of carnival, pictures of carnivallAh yes Malaria of the mouth.  If you haven’t heard about this new virus then let me enlighten you.

It spreads vicariously by placing your tongue into a stranger’s mouth in Brazil of all places and during Carnival of all times.

Every festival around the world has its own way of identifying itself and Carnival in Brazil has Malaria of the mouth.

Caribbean festivals for example, are known for the dancing, hardcore dancing (see video here). There is no asking permission or waiting for someone to come up to you, everyone just dances with everyone.

Latin festivals are usually known for their dancing as well but it is more salsa and dances with a partner.

In New Orleans, during Mardi Gras, women show their “goodies” for beads and there is a very similar scenario in Brazil.  One of the funny dynamics about Brazilian culture is that whenever Carnival is around the corner, relationships start to get rocky.  The women usually blame it on the men but the story is that everyone breaks up during Carnival and gets back together afterwards.

Malaria of the mouth anyone?

During Carnival the men give away their beads and get kisses for them, insert Malaria of the mouth.  The men are very forceful and usually the women play the cat and mouse game until finally accepting.  Afterwards they just walk away from each other like it never happened and look for another victim.  This stuff is so random that I almost ran into people with this fatal attraction.  Just be informed that you can only do this during Carnival and not throughout the rest of the year!

The more beads the more chances you have of getting a kiss.  There are even women that refuse to wear any beads because they know they will be targeted!  So be on the look out for Malaria of the mouth!  Unless of course you are looking for it.  More Brazilian Stories to come!

  1. hahahaha… I am so happy you posted about this disease that is sweeping the world. I am a first hand witness to this, rather than a victim. Everyone that knows me, knows that I am a gentleman. I carry one set of beads for that one and only that I’ve been waiting for my entire life **Cough** **huge lie** *cough**
