    Ethiopia

Visiting Ethiopia and living there for roughly 3 months really showed me the beauty of the entire country and it definitely broke many stereotypes.  The country is home to a very ancient civilization, one of the cheapest places to travel in the world, and also is safer than most countries in Europe! Ethiopia is bordered North Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Djoubti, Somalia (Somaliland), and Kenya.

    Hi Marcello,
I’m considering a trip to Ethiopia. I would go alone but be with a small guided tour for a few weeks.
You say it’s safe, but I’m concerned being a female and going solo, and worried about potential carjackings etc whilst travelling. Can you tell me anymore or give me anymore advice?
    Appreciate it.

Its only dangerous on the border of Eritrea & Kenya other than that its pretty safe. If you are going on a guided tour I think that you will be perfectly fine. You will love it its an absolutely amazing place

Yes, keeping away from borders. It’s an amazing itinerary: Addis, Hawzien, Bahar Dar, Axum, Lalibela, Simiens… Was thinking of stopping in Zanzibar too before heading back. Just a bit worried with the reports of kidnaps etc on the drives.
