When we were visiting the Dead Sea we actually had a crazy idea of swimming to the Jordan border. Being that you can’t put your eyes underwater under fear that your eyes would sting for days we forfeited that idea. This picture was taken as we were leaving the Dead Sea in Israel. I can’t really describe how cool it is to be actually floating in water without actually trying. The Dead Sea is similar to the Blue Lagoon in Iceland in that the mud that you can find around the area is very good for your skin. The Dead Sea also happens to be in a competition right now to be nominated as one of the new wonder’s of the world.

I’ve heard swimming in the Dead Sea is unlike anything else. I’d love to travel there some day
