    Capoeira In Carnival: Salvador, Brazil

One of my favorite pictures of the night

This was taken in the Pelourinho circuit during the 2nd day of Carnaval while we were talking towards Campo Grande.  A bit more laid back than the Barra circuit there is still plenty of chaos for everyone to enjoy.  One of the girls in our group actually started dancing Capoeira with the group which they don’t normally allow!  Definitely would recommend that everyone should experience Brazilian Carnival at some point in their life!

Your photographs of the carnival looks so much fun! I’m planning to go next year and I can’t wait :-)

Make sure that you plan your Carnival for Salvador and not Rio…. Salvador is the Brazilian carnival while Rio is the tourist’s carnival. Thanks so much for the nice comments Miles!
