Christ The Redeemer Statue At Sunset: Rio De Janeiro

Sunset At Christ Statue

I think it is a disservice that I have been living in Rio De Janeiro for nearly two months and I just now visited the Christ The Redeemer statue.  Getting there was no issue and it was quite interesting to see different people living on the actual mountain as we climbed in the trolley.  The best time to visit the statue would be early in the morning for the sunrise or late in the evening to catch the sunset.  Remember that if you go in the afternoon you are going to encounter a lot more tourists!  I plan on taking the helicopter ride for a possible sunset ride which would be something I think no one could miss in Rio.

  1. I lived in Rio for nearly two months before I visited the Christ Redeemer statue too back in 2008. Now that I’m back here with my wife, we’ve been here for two weeks and still haven’t made it there yet. Beautiful view from there though, and great photo.
