Sunset At The Galapagos Islands

Sunset In Galapagos

This is what we live for. This was the amazing sunset that we saw on our last day at the Galapagos Islands.  This was the same day where we starting jumping off the fourth story of the yacht.  There could not have been an end to our incredible trip to the Galapagos Islands with Quasar Expeditions.  The island is called Bartolome which is located in the bottom right side of the Galapagos Island chain.  One thing you may not have known is that there are two different cruise itineraries when going to the Galapagos Islands.

One itinerary is held on the north west side of the islands (top left) and the other in the south east (bottom right).  The pointy rock on the right side of the picture is called Pinaacle Rock while the mountain on the left is Summit (your able to go up that high).  Pinnacle Rock was actually used as target practice by the US Military. When one approaches we will see that there are actually supposed to be two Pinnacle Rocks rather than one. The other is laid across the sea bed. Does make for great snorkeling however. We were able to see an octopus and a fish with wings!

Peruse our Galapagos Islands picture gallery and see the top 5 section for more things to do in Galapagos and around the world.
