Lunch in Ghent, Belgium, was nothing short of amazing. It was one of those picturesque pictures that they always show in Europe. This was actually during the Flanders Festival which is held throughout many cities in Belgium. This was the very beginning of my trip and the start of my official move to India from Brazil ( who wouldn’t take a pit stop in Europe for two months?). I’ll be providing more detailed information about the festival in Ghent but a short description would be a fantastic outdoor music festival held throughout the historic streets of Ghent.
One of the things I love about the city, and Belgium in general, are the waterways and the taxis that you can take from point to point. From my experience, they’re mostly for tourists now but I can imagine how people use to get around in the olden days to waterways. It was an excellent lunch by the way.

Me? What I love about Belgium is the chocolate, waffles and french fries. My husband loves their beer for some reasons. We’ll try having lunch at Ghent when we come back to Belgium.
