APR – Plan Ahead and Park for Less at LAX

When you’re headed to Los Angeles International Airport, bound for your next adventure, the last thing you want to worry about is where you’re going to park your car. With more than 15,000 parking spots in numerous on-site and off-site locations, you would think finding a space would be easy – unfortunately, that’s not always the case.

LAX is one of the busiest airports in the country — with thousands passengers traveling through daily – which means parking spaces are at a premium, especially during busy travel seasons. Parking at LAX doesn’t have to be as difficult as climbing Mt. Everest, though. With some advanced planning, you can get a guaranteed space at the best price.

Online airport parking reservation sites allow you to compare the various parking  options and rates, and reserve your parking space before you even walk out the door. This is especially useful at major airports where traffic is often snarled and daily parking charges vary drastically depending on where you park.

For instance, rates at LAX range from $7.30 to $30, with the most expensive parking option being the Central Terminal Area’s indoor parking lot. This lot offers parking right outside the airport, but the convenience comes at a rate of $30 per day. There is also an outdoor economy parking available in LAX’s Lot C (at 96th Street and Sepulveda Boulevard) and rates start at $12. Both of these facilities are popular parking places for travelers, however, by using an online airport parking reservations site, you can find several other parking options, such as LAX Marriot Hotel, Hilton LAX, and Airport Center’s indoor parking lot. Many of these lots also provide special amenities, such as free shuttle service, baggage assistance, 24-hour security, and, best of all, cheaper rates.

Also, keep in mind that all vehicles that enter LAX’s Central Terminal Area are subject to random inspection – not something you want to deal with if you’re running late for your flight.

Next time your travel plans include a departure from LAX, don’t drive around the airport searching for the best deal, or pay an exorbitant rate for the first spot you can find.  You’ll arrive at your gate a lot less stressed and with some extra cash in your pocket.
