Top Reasons To Visit the Sunshine Coast!

If the name “Sunshine Coast” isn’t enough to entice you to visit this urban area in the South East Queensland, then maybe the top reasons to visit the Sunshine Coast will.  The 10th largest metropolis in Australia is fast becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.  What was once the crown territory of New South Wales after James Cook’s discovery is now a burgeoning metropolitan area which thrives on tourism, retail and real estate.

Along with the other top reasons to visit the Sunshine Coast, it’s no surprise that a lot of tourists are making a beeline to this bustling metropolitan area. Like most of Australia, things are pretty spread out. A great option for getting around cheaply is to actually buy a second hand car. There are multiple companies that sell them just for this reason, but definitely check out used car prices on Gumtree for a good idea of what you can get. Without further wait, here are the top reasons to visit the Sunshine Coast in Australia!

Sun, sea and surf.  They  don’t call it the Sunshine Coast for nothing.  This region  is lined with some of the most pristine beaches in Australia.  Whether you’re there to soak up some sun and go home with the most magnificent, glowing tan, or indulge in water sports and activities, the beaches of the Sunshine Coast guarantee hours upon hours of fun under the sun.

Just don’t forget to bring lots of sunscreen and a wide-brimmed hat!

Nothing but the freshest catch and produce.  With lots of sunshine, rich soils and abundant sea and fresh waters, the Sunshine Coast is a gourmet paradise.  Everything you eat, from hot-off-the-grill steaks and seafood, fish and chips and organic salads are guaranteed fresh and healthy.

The best places to sample the local cuisine and wine is along Hastings Street in Noosa, with their elegant, award-winning restaurants.  But if you’d like to eat your heart out (without breaking the bank, of course), along the coast is the best place to go, with surf clubs serving equally appetizing food and a cold glass of beer.

Fun with the kids.  One of the top reasons to visit the Sunshine Coast is their family-friendly attractions.  Take a tour around the city and visit museums and parks.  For animal lovers, the Australian Zoo is the best place to go, where you can go face to face with local and exotic flora and fauna.  This zoo is also made famous by the late Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter.
