The Arches in Lapa are one of the main fixtures of the city and one of the tourist attractions that you should see as well. I love to see Lapa transform at night, just behind where the picture was taken (behind the camera not the arches) Lapa turns into a massive street party on the weekends. The main party district of the city, it’s a historic hub with great architecture with music blaring and people dancing on the streets all night long. On Friday nights there is a special treat when a local samba band gets together and plays for tips.
