This is the main church in the city of San Pedro de Atacama in the Atacama Desert in Chile. Its a small church but it is the mainstay of the entire town. From here you walk to the mini market, the museum, the tourist office is in site, pick a tour company, and get offered a countless array of dinner coupons. San Pedro is the gateway of the Atacama Desert and even if you don’t have that much money to spare there are great options for you near the city. Both the Valley of the Desert and the unique dinosaur rock formations are a short walk away from the city. The Death Valley is where you can enter to see very unique rock formations as well but its a very long walk so its best to take a tour here, especially if you want to go sand boarding.
