One of the things that amused me the most about traveling to The Guianas was the border in-between Suriname and French Guyana. French Guyana is easily the most developed of the three and Suriname has it’s business together however. The actual border is a complete joke, I could seriously smuggle an entire family through the border if I ever needed to. Everyone takes these super sized canoes back and forth without even going to the customs office. The official customs office does have very that goes back and forth but its only a few times a day. You can easily hop on one of these canoes and go in-between borders any time you want.
