New vs Old: Changes in London Architecture

The architecture in London has certainly changed over the last few years with newer building being incorporated across the city.  I had a complete day to enjoy London and walking around to admire the architecture was one of the things that I really enjoyed.  It was a big change from taking pictures of glaciers in Argentina and Mosques in Suriname.  This is one of my favorite pictures that I took while roaming around London.

You can see the history of the city with the church in the middle which is surrounding by the metropolis on both ends.  The Bullet (or egg) shaped building is actually the Swiss Re Building otherwise known as the Gherkin.  The church in front is the St. Katharine Cree Church which you can find on a short walk from the Tower Bridge London.
